What Folks Are Saying About Our Adventures

The best three days of riding and camping took us off-road from Boulder to Salida, Breckenridge, and back.  Saxon Mountain Rd was a stretch we will never forget.

I’ve been fortunate to go on quite a few moto trips with these guys.  Always an adventure and epic riding.  Spectacular campsites and views for days while riding as well as camping.

Brett and Stephen are fantastic guides who are passionate about adventure. They're also a joy to be around, which is key when the going gets tough.

I had the good fortune of being included on an early trip (Bears Ears-Devil’s Backbone) led by these two polymath superheroes.  As a city-dweller, I had some middling motorcycle skills but little off-road ability and negligible outdoor experience.  Brett and Stephen were both great leaders, fantastically knowledgeable, skilled and enduringly patient. Adventure Riding is unpredictable.  Brett and Stephen coolly adapted to conditions and even some equipment deficits that I brought to the table (masterful milk crate luggage artistry to save the day). I can only imagine how, in the intervening six years, refined and polished their product and delivery have become. I would encourage anyone to follow their lead and explore and experience the beauty of this country.

I had the incredible opportunity to go on an adventure moto trip with this amazing crew, and it was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had on two wheels. Before this trip, I had never ventured into adventure motorcycling, but thanks to these guys, I'm completely hooked!  From start to finish, every detail of the trip was meticulously planned. We had plenty of time to enjoy the ride, with perfectly timed stops for gas, water, coffee, and lunch. The routes they chose were challenging yet manageable, making the journey both memorable and enjoyable.  What truly set this trip apart were the most challenging sections, where teamwork was essential. Overcoming these obstacles together made the experience even more rewarding. I can't thank the team enough for such an unforgettable adventure. If you're considering an adventure motorcycle trip, look no further – these guys are the best!

Brett and Stephen are amazing planners and guides, and all the trips I've joined them on have been true adventures! The route and riding is always fun with just the right level of challenge, but it is their ability to find perfect dispersed camping spots that makes the time off the bike extra special. I recommend them highly, and will continue to join them on many more adventures.

I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting Brett and Stephen just a few short years ago and have since been on two separate moto trips with them. These are both stand up men in general and their route finding/planning is AWESOME! The first trip I attended left from Salida, CO headed southwest towards Telluride. I think it was 13 mountain passes in 5 days, and some 600 miles if I’m not mistaken. Some of the coolest ADV riding I’ve ever done. In some of THE most beautiful scenery in Colorado.  My take away was A) these guys are super rad, caring and thoughtful and B) I didn’t really have to do much but keep up and enjoy the view. Which, in the case of this trip required some fairly technical ability. But someone was always there to lend a hand whether it be picking up a bike, coaching the best route or simply motivation when needed. Freakin awesome trip with some truly awesome guys. The second was a short out and back from Delores, CO to Valley of the Gods Utah, Mexican Hat, Bears Ears and Moki Dugway. Another freakin amazing moto and I could’ve stayed out there for a month. I’m stoked to know these guys! Can’t wait for the next one, RIDE ON!

I've been on three tours with Brett and Stephen over the years. Every time I have come along, the smiles last for miles! They spend a lot of time organizing the trip routes, places to see and things to do to keep the trips fun for the entire time. Along with the fact that the scenic tours in Colorado and Utah are curated to give the riders the best of the best no matter what level one rides. They really can read the room and dial in a great experience for everyone no matter where we go. Lots of communication back and forth about the routes, riders’ abilities to fit in, and fun mini adventures planned in between make for great times! Most importantly, they love to work through any issues that pop up as a team and not leave you in the dust. Brett and Stephen are flexible, fun, safe and great to hang out with at the campfire telling tall tales about the day’s ride. Get in the saddle with OutbackADV and have a blast wearing those dirt mustaches!

I've been on several of Brett and Stephen's trips and they've all been amazing. In addition to coming up with great itineraries with minimal pavement, awesome scenery, and great campsites, they helped me go from rank beginner on ADV motos to very confident and having a blast. You will love their trips!

Thoughtful routes through incredible scenery on fun-to-ride terrain.  I loved the side explorations and opportunities for a swim.  Great campfire camaraderie among the group.

Brett and Barnesy are what everybody wants in a moto trip guide! Their planning and knowledge is top notch; they have so many details figured out, and contingencies accounted for, that everything goes incredibly smoothly before and during the ride.  The camp spots are always scenic and well-timed, the routes are full of views that will stun you, and interesting little stops you never knew existed, or maybe even an amazing little swimming hole.  Their attitude, knowledge, and flexibility really makes it a pleasure to ride with them and absorb it all up.  I've ridden with them in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming, all stellar experiences and I hope to get out again with them to keep exploring new-to-me corners of the world.

Brett and Stephen's trips do not disappoint!  Love the routes that truly get into the back-country.  Love the incredibly scenic campsites.  Love the laughs around the campfire each night.  Well-organized and fun.  If you like riding your moto and enjoy time with old friends or making new ones, it's hard to go wrong with this crew.  Memories of a lifetime, everytime!

As a new moto rider, Stephen and Brett were amazing at supporting me in pushing my limits, and at the same time building confidence for long term growth in my riding skills physically and mentally. No one is left behind as they ensure there is a lead rider/navigator and a sweep. Mechanicals in the field were no problem as Stephen and Brett are not only amazing at supporting the riders, but they work on and know their own bikes. Whether it is requiring a starter switch, changing a flat, dealing with a dead starter or getting the bikes through a technical section, I felt completely supported throughout the trip. Oh the places you’ll go…the intricate and detailed research into new routes, highlight locations, and ensuring there is an always an alternative route, are just a few of the things I love about going on trips with OutbackADV!  The fun doesn’t end when we hit camp - setting up, cooking and enjoying the good company, stories from years of experience, and laughing about the day’s activities is a large part of the experience and fun signing on with OutbackADV.

I found Stephen as an ADV newbie.  I had ridden on road, and some dirtbikes, but had never been on a full ADV trip. He was super helpful on outlining what gear to get, and the tradeoffs with all the choices. He brings a lifetime of backcountry experience across multiple sports to the party in a way that is super informative and inclusive. On the trail he kept it fun, and within everyone's limits, though just barely. Everyone had a blast. Our first trip out felt like I was riding with a group of old friends.  I can't recommend these guys enough.
